Enid Tapper-Donaldson wrote The Real Taste of Jamaica — one of the most celebrated records of authentic Jamaican cooking ever published. A cousin of Christopher's grandfather, Ivor LaForte Tapper, Enid preserved those recipes with extraordinary care, and they have fed and informed generations of Jamaican cooks at home and abroad.

This cookbook is Christopher's interpretation of that inheritance — every dish drawn from Enid's tradition, every recipe reimagined for a plant-based table. Not because the originals needed replacing. Because the next generation of cooks deserves to make them their own.

This is not a diet book. It is a conversation — between what Enid preserved and what a new generation of Jamaican cooking can become.
