Christopher Tapper was born and raised in St. Andrew, Jamaica — a parish of red hills, Blue Mountain air, and the kind of family life that stays with you long after you've left. He carries it everywhere he goes.
He spent 27 years in Securities Regulation in the United States — a career built on precision, trust, and an understanding of how systems work. But the things that stayed closest to him were never institutional. They were personal: the food his family cooked, the card games that stretched late into the evening, the voices and recipes and traditions that his people carried from the island to wherever they settled.
Upper Loft Enterprises is Christopher's way of honoring all of it. Not as nostalgia — but as fuel. Every division of this company is rooted in a specific person, a specific place, a specific memory from the St. Andrew hills: an aunt who loved to play Kalooki, a grandmother — Violet Rowena Malcom-Tapper — born in a place called Breezy Hill, whose sons carry her recipe forward, a family elder whose cookbook preserved the true taste of Jamaica for generations to come.
He built Upper Loft so those stories don't end. So they grow.
